Participant Search
RAFB is piloting a 4-week online certificate course and we’re looking for participants!
Who Are We?
Read A Fantastic Book (RAFB) focuses on providing professional educational consulting by providing cultural insight and exploration through literature. We take extra care to research and develop in-depth courses and content that guides pupils through a literary adventure. In the end, participants learn to digest and dissect materials in a structured manner—resulting in stronger, more competent cultural leaders and learners.
We provide customizable online courses for educators looking to provide culturally responsive, competent teaching through a series of quizzes, writing prompts, visual aids, and reviews. The pupil is provided with an opportunity to learn through hands-on engagement. Additionally, the result of the students’ work yields them a personal literary guide for continued referenced and official certification.
What Is This Pilot About?
The pilot program is designed to test the feasibility and efficacy of one of our newest courses.
We’re looking to ensure that the information is approachable yet thorough. In addition, we’re hoping that participants can share honest opinions about user experience with the course and areas for growth. The sign up is free ($250 Value) and graduates of the course will receive an official certificate that demonstrates their gained knowledge and understanding of Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality topics and conversations.
When Does it Start?
The pilot session begins September 16th and last a total of four weeks.
What Do I Need?
A computer, phone, or tablet with access to the internet and a copy of Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye. (Feel free to obtain the book from your local library or visit our online bookstore to purchase)
What is the Time Commitment?
Each participant should expect to spend about 60-90 minutes per week on the course.
What If I’m Not a Good Reader/Writer?
The course is designed to meet the participants where they are and adapt to each person’s capabilities. We are focused on the pupils understanding of concept and theory, not their technical writing skills.
